November 2021 will feature many classic catalog additions plus a few TV and movie premieres for HBO Max, including Will Smith’s King Richard.
Following the numerous premieres and Halloween-themed additions from October, HBO Max has plenty more exciting movies and TV shows coming to the service in November 2021. As the end of Oscars eligibility approaches, subscribers can expect to see even more momentum than October and September for day-and-date streaming and theatrical movie premieres in the coming months. While new TV shows and movie releases will be catching the eye of subscribers, November will also see the additions and returns of classic and favorite titles to its catalog.
October 2021’s HBO Max additions included several highly anticipated movie and show premieres, most notably the release of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune on October 21. The other popular new releases in October included The Many Saints of Newark, Succession season 3, and Curb Your Enthusiasm season 11. While HBO’s original series will be permanently accessible on the service, subscribers only have until mid-November before Dune enters its exclusive theatrical allotment.
While Dune will surely continue to take up much of HBO Max’s streaming activity in November, subscribers can also look forward to the several other premieres and additions. As part of Warner Bros.’ Oscars run, the critically acclaimed biopic King Richard, starring Will Smith in the titular role, hits the streaming service on November 19 alongside its theatrical premiere. On November 18, HBO Max will drop the season 1 premiere of its original comedy-drama series The Sex Lives of College Girls created by The Office’s Mindy Kaling. Other highly anticipated additions include the Bourne franchise (November 1), 8-Bit Christmas, South Side season 2 (November 11), and the series premiere of Kamizake (November 14). Here’s everything else subscribers can enjoy seeing on HBO Max in November 2021.

With so many new additions to HBO Max’s catalog in November, the streaming service inevitably has to remove titles to make room. Notable movies and TV shows that will be leaving the service on the last day in November include Bad Boys, Bridget Jones’ Diary, Robert Downey, Jr.’s Sherlock Holmes movies, and Martin Scorsese’s Mean Streets. Recent releases that will also be exiting in November include Judd Apatow’s The King of Staten Island and the DCEU’s Birds of Prey. However, the most notable losses of the month include The Many Saints of Newark on November 1 and Dune (2021) on November 21. As the weather turns colder and nights shorter, HBO Max subscribers can also look ahead to December additions like the premiere of The Matrix Resurrections and the streaming return of Space Jam: A New Legacy.
