A Saskatchewan household is mourning after the lack of three members, together with a seven-year-old woman.
“I’m devastated, however I really feel very effectively supported by my household and pals and group,” Kristen Bilawchuk stated.
Bilawchuk misplaced her husband, Chris Novecosky, alongside together with her nephew and niece on Saturday at Humboldt Lake, situated about 115 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
Her brother-in-law, Fred Novecosky, lives on the lake. Bilawchuk stated the tragedy began when Fred’s seven-year-old daughter, Ava, and five-year-old daughter went out on the ice by themselves.

The ladies’ older brother noticed them and rushed to get their mom, Heather Novecosky.
Heather instructed CBC Information that she noticed the women floating distant from the lakeshore and rushed in to get Bilawchuk’s husband Chris and nephew Joe.

Heather stated she, Chris and Joe have been strolling on ice, attempting to get nearer to the women, when it broke beneath them. She stated her husband was in a position to get out on the water with a kayak and a few life-jackets.
“My husband Fred saved my life and our daughter’s life,” she stated.

Bilawchuk remembers Ava as “a bubbly little blissful woman.” The seven-year-old was a Grade 2 pupil at St. Dominic College in Humboldt.
