Lil Nas X jumps on the live performance documentary practice with ‘Lengthy Reside Montero’ debuting on HBO on January 27, a movie that captures his first world tour throughout 60 days.
HBO has introduced the debut of Lil Nas X’s live performance documentary, which had its world premiere final 12 months on the Toronto Movie Competition. “Lil Nas X: Lengthy Reside Montero” releases on the network on January 27 at 8 PM ET, and also will stream on demand on Max. The documentary follows the artist throughout 60 days as he performs his “Lengthy Reside Montero” tour to help his 2021 debut album, Montero.
Lil Nas X, born Montero Hill, discusses his profession and his place within the pop and rap world as a queer Black performer. Zac Manuel (Alone, Buckjumping, Nonstop) and Carlos López Estrada (Blindspotting, Summertime, Raya and the Final Dragon), the latter of whom has, along with his filmmaking credit, directed music movies for artists that embrace Billie Eilish, Katy Perry, and Carly Rae Jepsen, directed the movie.
HBO Documentary Movies is presenting the movie alongside Sony Music Leisure and Columbia Data, a manufacturing by RadicalMedia in affiliation with Museum & Crane.
“Lil Nas X: Lengthy Reside Montero” is produced by Dave Sirulnick, Caryn Capotosto, Saul Levitz, Adam Leber, Gee Roberson, Adriana Arce, and Hodo Musa, and government produced by Meredith Bennett, Jon Kamen, Frank Scherma, Tom Mackay, Ron Perry, and Krista Wegener.
Lil Nas X first broke into the mainstream with “Outdated City Street” with Billy Ray Cyrus, which spent 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Scorching 100 — the longest-running No. 1 hit within the chart’s lifetime.
He received two Grammy awards for the track: Finest Music Video and Finest Pop Duo/Group Efficiency. A few of his different hits embrace “Montero (Name Me By Your Title),” “That’s What I Need,” and “Trade Child” that includes Jack Harlow.
